Would you like to be able to dig wherever you want, whenever you want? With Volvo’s new rc excavator that dream has become a reality. While you’re sitting in your living room (or another comfortable place), you can use your excavator to dig anywhere – in the sand at the beach, in the snow at the ski resort, or even in your living room if you have some fun decorative plants! And when you’re done digging and want to let someone else operate the machine, simply transfer control over to them with the push of a button from your remote control!

The benefits of remote control equipment

If you’re just starting out in construction, there’s a good chance that one of your concerns is whether or not to get remote control equipment for all of your projects. The technology can be very appealing: after all, who wouldn’t want to sit back and let an operator do all of the work while they stay in their office and organize matters? While it certainly sounds great, before making a final decision on whether or not it makes sense to invest in RCE, it’s important to weigh both sides. Remote Control Equipment Pros: With multiple cameras available for increased visibility, RCE helps operators navigate even difficult terrain safely. This increases safety for people and materials alike.

What is the Remote Control Excavator?

The Volvo Remote Control Excavator is a ready-to-run machine with one major difference: Instead of using a real digging vehicle, you get to use its RC counterpart. The RC Excavator can reach speeds of up to 2.3 miles per hour and holds five times more dirt than any normal child’s toy would. The controls are surprisingly easy to master; all it takes is practice, practice, practice. And with each passing day that your child spends using the machine, their skills only continue to improve and become more enjoyable. While driving an excavator may seem like an intimidating task for anyone who isn’t very familiar with equipment or work sites, it’s actually quite fun and easy once you get used to it!

How does it work?

Driving large machinery is one of those things that seems incredibly complicated to do at first. Until you actually try it, that is—and realize it’s surprisingly simple. Volvo’s new Remote Control Excavator (it’s basically a toy version of its real-life heavy duty equipment) is designed to make driving a piece of cake. Operated via tablet and controlled by an individual digging with two joysticks, it can navigate tight spaces and deftly scoop up any dirt or stones in its path. And when all you want to do is dig in peace and quiet? No problem: This ‘bot comes equipped with an electric engine so there are no diesel fumes or ear-splitting sounds to contend with.

Is it safe?

Kids love machines, so it’s not surprising that they find large construction equipment fascinating. However, most kids aren’t old enough to drive trucks and heavy machinery safely. Volvo’s new toy takes some of that worry away by allowing kids (and adults!) to operate heavy machinery without actually having to be behind a wheel. The new construction toy for children and big children is equipped with autonomous driving capabilities and sensors that can detect obstacles up to 1 meter away; it also has four steering modes: automatic (i.e., fully automated), assisted, manual or off-road mode. This way your child can learn how an excavator works — even if he or she isn’t old enough to drive on public roads yet!
